Religion

A selection of verse from the bible, torah, Koran, Hindu scriptures and Buddha.

In the Begining
Love thy neighbor
The one who loves all intensely
The human body is the temple
Let us Love one another
He becomes a lover of all,
In love, there can be no sin

They shall inherit the land forever.
therein shall they abide
Avoid killing, or harming any living thing
boundless love towards the entire world
One falls down when reasoning is destroyed.
The Lord blesses his people with Peace

There is no greater good for a warrior than to fight in a righteous war.
When you go out to battle against your enemies
And kill them wherever you find them
Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers
And He it is who takes your soul at night
From Death To Immortality.

The World Turns

Concept:
A poem about social justice

The world turns a new day dawns,
a child to many are born
A life of struggle for most to come
A parent of wealth the lottery won

Mother her health does decay
As baby nurses mums life away
Every day the end draws near
Baby born to a world of fear

Across the seas a world away
another child sees in the day
where life is good and needs are met
Baby has no need to fret.

Many eyes blind to see
Mother and baby fate to be
too far apart for those to care
the evening news just sit and stare.

Foreigner on our throne

A short poem about having a foreigner on our throne...

Foreigner on our throne,
to what end do we kneel and bow to a crown that is not our own.
They come and wave, smile and gaze then disappear again,
Stopping here and stopping there, back to London Town.
Is there not one person in all of our land
to wave as royal hand?
Enough of this injustice, Enough of this bad joke,
We are better than that I say, time to ditch the yoke
and to look upon a coin with a face of local folk.
